This may be the quintessential Rogue Valley winery, and possibly the oldest. Peter Britt, southern Oregon’s celebrated pioneer photographer, meteorologist and horticulturist, also known as “the father of the grape industry,” once owned this land. So if you want wines from a vineyard that has had over 100 years of cultivation, the Pinot Noir and blended reds, are waiting for you. There was gold discovered in this area, but the treasure may be this vineyard at the end of the Applegate trail.
